Fish drawer & door handle
Fish drawer & door handle
#008000somethig
This collection presents a series of tactile, hand-fabricated works that transform recycled materials into functional art. Each handle embodies a story of renewal, blending playful design with a powerful message about sustainability and thoughtful living.
Using aluminium saved from landfill sites or beach cleanup projects, the sand casting process is the same that I developed for the 'Makers Place' single use plastic & aluminium recycling studio that I designed & built from the ground up for Soneva in Noonu Atoll, Maldives. The process leaves a minimal carbon footprint, giving single-use waste a new life.
Every handle is a unique casting, individually created from the artist’s original maquette, ensuring no two are alike.
Available in four sizes, each named after a stage in a salmon's life cycle.
fry - w 30-40 gms h22 x w70 x d34 mm
parr - w 60-70 gms h30 x w90 x d44 mm
smolt - w 105-120 gms h36 x w115 x d48mm
kelt - w 280-300 gms h48 x w158 x d57 mm
Each piece is fitted with a 40mm M4 screw, washer & threaded bolt for easy installation.
The packaging also reflects our commitment to sustainability, made from 100% recycled and unbleached Kraft™ paper. Its unbranded, minimalist design is reusable, doubling as an elegant storage solution for your home.
Own a piece of art that connects you to both purpose and beauty every day.
